• Waste receiving facilities designed in European standards
• Providing services within the scope of regulation on waste intake from ships and control of wastes.
• Two units of 25m3 of liquid waste intake vessel for bilge water, sludge, waste oil, waste water, slop and wastes.
• One unit of 15m3 capacity solid waste intake vessel.
• Waste reception service is provided to the offshore vessels within the scope of Annex I, Annex IV and Annex V of the MARPOL 73/78 Convention with our waste receiving ship with a total of 131 m³ liquid waste and 6 m³ solid waste storage capacity.
• Temporary storage of wastes collected from ships is carried out under the MARPOL 73/78 Convention at the Waste Reception Facility, which has a total liquid waste storage capacity of 745 m3 and a solid waste storage capacity of 25 m3.
• Heat treatment and separation are applied to wastes in order to separate oil and water and minimize water content.
• Within the scope of the "Water Pollution Control Regulation," waste water generated at the Facility is cleansed in our chemical waste water treatment unit with a capacity of 50 m3/day and discharged into the "Samsun Water and Sewerage" channel.
• Waste oils purified from water at our Waste Reception Facility are subjected to category testing in accredited laboratories within the scope of the Waste Oil Control Regulation, and waste oils from Category 1 are sent to recycling facilities licensed by the Ministry of Environment and Urbanization in order to contribute to the economy.
• Other waste is transported to disposal facilities by transporters approved by the Ministry of Environment and Urbanization to be used as extra fuel.
• We provide services that facilitate recovery and at the same time encourage recycling in order to prevent marine pollution by collecting the wastes of ships arriving at our port, to minimize the damage to the environment and human health, and to contribute to the country's economy.
• Within the scope of the regulations, priority is given to recycling and recovering by storing all wastes separately and temporarily according to their categories. Wastes that cannot be recovered or recycled are sent to disposal facilities licensed by the Ministry of Environment and Urbanization to be disposed of in a way that will not harm the environment and human health, or to be used as a supplementary energy source.
• The disposal and recycling of wastes is ensured from start to end by conforming to the general principles and norms of the regulations without endangering the environment or human health.
• Methods and processes that do not harm the environment or human health are used, planned, and studies are conducted in this regard during waste separation, collection, recovery, and disposal. As a result, dangers to humans, plants, animals, water, air, and soil are avoided, as are noise, vibration, and odor disturbances, as well as impacts on the natural ecosystem.
